Resource Qualifications

Overview

Maintaining your company's accreditations necessitates effective management of resource qualifications. Trutesta offers comprehensive functionality for handling these qualifications, including tracking documentation and ensuring that testing, certification, and inspection activities are conducted by appropriately qualified personnel. This is a fundamental aspect of upholding your company's accreditation standards.

A resource refers to either personnel or equipment that can be allocated for tasks. Personnel examples encompass roles like test engineers, reviewers, inspectors, and auditors, while equipment examples might include items such as an EMC Chamber.

Resource qualifications are managed within the Trutesta Resource Management application. An example is shown below.

Labs and Certification office can also be assigned qualifications that reflect their accreditation.

Qualifications

Trutesta supports different types of qualifications. These include Test Standards, Directives and Product Types.

Test Standards

A resource can be assigned one or more test standard that they are qualified. Standards are managed within the Trutesta Standards application.

Standard → Test Clauses will be available in the March 2024 release.

Directives

Trutesta Standards applications provides features to manage Directives. Directives are managed separately from test standards. One or more directives can be assigned to a resource.

Product Types

Product Types serve as a classification system for customer products. In the context of qualifications, a Product Type signifies that a resource is authorized and capable to test, certify, inspect, or audit products within this specific category.

Applying Qualifications

Trutesta Qualifications are used throughout the Trutesta Applications below.

Trutesta Scheduling

Trutesta Scheduling can be configured to permit the scheduling of resources only if they have the requisite qualifications needed for a specific deliverable.

Assigning Reviewers

Trutesta Delivery, along with the soon-to-be-released Trutesta LabBench, will limit the selection of reviewer resources to those who possess the necessary qualifications required for reviewing a specified deliverable.

Assigning Inspectors and Auditors

Trutesta Inspection Manager is tasked with appointing inspectors and auditors to carry out inspections or audits, ensuring they match the criteria required for the specific factory being examined.

Auditing

Trutesta Audit provides visibility into a resources qualifications during an audit. This streamlines the audit process.
